develops and markets operational support software for telecom operators. Being a
low cost base, the company has an edge over other vendors where cost is
concerned. Usha Comm has a range of products that are pre-integrated with
customer care and billing products. These include billing-postpaid and prepaid,
IP billing, customer care plus, mediation and provisioning, network analysis and
business performance monitoring, Intelligent Network Platforms, SMS platforms
and WAP

This year, the company will focus high value solution
products for Integrated Communications Providers (ICP).
Worldwide the Group is worth $350 million crore. Usha Comm
has joint marketing and sales ventures with Compaq; Ericsson for technology, IBM
worldwide and XACCT for IP mediation. Some of the company’s important clients
are Mobilkom, Kuala Lampur; Amerivision, USA; Tango, Luxemburg; Co-Serve, USA;
and Skycell, Chennai.
To fill in the requirements of its development centres, the company has set
up its own learning centres. Last year, it set up the Usha Martin Academy of
Communication Technology in Chennai in association with TeNet of IIT, Chennai.
The academy aims at training at least 1,000 people every year.
