With 1.1% share, HP is the smallest telecom market: Mobilytiks

Himachal Pradesh is the the smallest telecom market in the country with 1% feature phones and 1.2% smartphones penetration, said Mobilytiks, a big data analytics program by Cybermedia Research.

The report, however, said that although HP is a small market its smartphone penetration is at par with the national average.

"HP ranks 7th by smartphone penetration across the states in the country of the country...The strong presence of Indian brands reflects their cumulative strength indicating many of the subscribers haven't refreshed their handsets be it smartphone or a feature phone. The evenly base of smartphone as well as feature phone gives new entrants an exciting opportunity to target subscribers due to refresh," it said.
