Airtel Business appoints Harish Laddha as CEO - Emerging Business

On Monday, Airtel Business announced that it has appointed Harish Laddha as CEO - Emerging business.

The telco said in a statement that Laddha will report to Ajay Chitkara, who is the Director & CEO of Airtel Business.

In his new role, Harish Laddha will identify and leverage growth opportunities in emerging categories such as Small and Medium Business (SMB) segment. He will also lead a dedicated team to bring to market highly differentiated offerings for these emerging segments.

Notably, Laddha is an alumni of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from MIT, Pune. Laddha also has over 25 years of experience, across Ingram Micro, Tata Communications and Tech Pacific.

Commenting on the appointment, Ajay Chitkara said, "I am delighted to welcome Harish on board and am confident that under his leadership we will create sharper focus on the emerging growth opportunities."

Chitkara also talked about the evolution of the Indian economy over the next decade. He said that the SMB segment offered an opportunity to enable digital transformation of tens of millions of traditional business.

Airtel Business clocked Rs 14.407 cr in revenues for FY ended March 2021. Its portfolio includes Cloud, Data Center, IoT, Cyber Security and Ad Tech.
