NEW DELHI: On the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi, India’s top telecom service provider Bharti Airtel has announced that it will start rolling out its Platinum 3G services across Punjab starting this month.
The first few markets will be Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Zirakpur, Kharar, Patiala, Ludhiana, Moga, Amritsar, Bathinda, Jalandhar, Phagwara, Kapurthala, Hoshiarpur and Dera Bassi,
Airtel Platinum 3G, which will be available on the efficient 900 MHz spectrum band, will offer world-class mobile experience to customers through significantly enhanced indoor coverage, faster data speeds and better voice clarity.
Additionally, Airtel Platinum 3G will help optimize the backend engagement between the network and mobile devices, thus allowing customers to enjoy extended battery life on their mobile devices.
In line with its commitment to make Punjab a digitally enabled state, Airtel will be rolling out its Platinum 3G services across all major cities/towns and important corridors to complement its existing 2G and 4G services in the State.
The combination of Airtel’s Platinum 3G and 4G LTE services across Punjab will offer Airtel customers the widest high speed mobile data network coverage. Airtel’s high speed 4G services, which are being offered using a combination of 1800 MHz and 2300 MHz technologies across Punjab are currently available in over 50 towns across Punjab.
