Amazon India joins hands with Vishesh Films

NEW DELHI: Amazon has entered into a long-term partnership with Vishesh Films that will make Prime Video India the exclusive subscription streaming destination for all existing and new releases from the production house.

The deal will give Amazon exclusive digital access to Vishesh Films’ entire catalog including Raaz Reboot, Aashiqui 2, Jannat, Murder etc., and other upcoming films.

Prime members will also enjoy unlimited streaming of the production house’s upcoming movies ahead of their television premiere and within weeks of their theatrical release.

“Vishesh Films is one of the most successful Indian film production houses and we are excited to premiere their content on Prime Video. Prime Video India will showcase Vishesh Films’ repertoire of films from horror to thrillers to romance, all coupled with soulful music that has become a trademark of their movies,” said Nitesh Kripalani, Director and Country Head, Amazon Prime Video India.

Calling the digital medium the future of entertainment, Vishesh Bhatt, Managing Director of Vishesh Films, said, “Digital is the future and I am bringing it now to the Bollywood audiences worldwide. Last month, Amazon India also signed up with Excel Entertainment, owned by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani for its first show called Power Play, which would be based on cricket and showbiz.
