NEW DELHI: Apple CEO Tim Cook will be visiting India today to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi either on Thursday or Friday.
Apart from meeting Mr Prime Minister, he will also meet employees and partners, the report said.
It will be his first official visit to India as the head of the U.S. technology company, he will be flying to India from China, where he recently made a $1 billion investment in ride-hailing service Didi Chuxing.
After becoming Prime Minister in 2014, Modi has been involved with U.S. tech companies as part of his strategy to bring jobs to India. For this he met Apple Inc Chief Executive last year during his visit to Silicon Valley.
