Apple to start making iPhones in Bangalore

NEW DELHI:Tech giant Apple has joined hands with the government of Karnataka to set up a manufacturing plant in Bangalore.

"Apple's intentions to make iPhones in Bengaluru will foster cutting-edge technology ecosystem & supply chain development in the state," said Karnataka's Minister of State for IT Priyank Kharge on his twitter account.

With this, Apple will start manufacturing at the facility beginning in April along with Wistron, is a major original design manufacturer in Taiwan and it has chosen to partner with in India.
