An Indian who transformed Vodafone's mobile services across
the world making it world's largest telecom company. Way back in 1994, he
played a pivotal role in creating Bell's spin off AirTouch resulting in its
merger with Vodafone in 1999. In 2000, he became the CEO of Infospace and in
2001 he formed his own company Accel-KKR Telecom to invest manage budding
telecom ventures and technologies around the globe.

Later in Dec 2002, he was announced the new CEO of Vodafone. He was appointed
chief executive in July 2003 and is a member of the Nominations and Governance
Committee. Arun Sarin joined Pacific Telesis Group in San Francisco in 1984. He
was a director of AirTouch Communications. later.
