TVR said that the satcom industry stands on the verge of a "phenomenal lift-off".

He also stated that currently, satellite penetration in India remains limited to only 300,000 connections. TVR added that the said satcom connections were based in narrowband, and were all enterprise connections. That means that right now, there are no individual users with a satcom connection. However, TVR said that the state of the industry just reflects the potential of satcom in India. TVR also expressed hope that with new use cases, satcom will only expand and grow.

He said that the government's backing of satcom represents its commitment to using cutting-edge technology to fuel economic growth. He also said that satcom will also represent a great manufacturing opportunity in India.
