NEW DELHI: The Government of Bihar in association with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will be organizing Bihar IT ITeS Investor Conclave-cum-Hackathon in Patna on 13-14 September 2017.
The main objective is to showcase the state’s ongoing developmental efforts and highlight the initiatives being taken to create a strong eco-system as well as attract investments in the IT and ITeS, ESDM sectors.
Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar and Ravi Shankar Prasad, Union Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Law & Justice will be present at the conclave.
The Department of IT, Government of Bihar invites participation for a 24 hour National Level Hackathon providing students from elite institutions with a platform to brainstorm and solve real time problems being faced by various departments within state of Bihar leveraging ICT.
This is the first of many such events the government of Bihar has planned. The aim is to launch the Bihar IT, ITeS sector in the global investment destination map. Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, who also holds the information technology portfolio, made this announcement recently.
The state government would unveil vision doccuments related to information technology – IT & ITES Promotion Policy and Electronic System Design and Manufacture Promotion Policy – during the upcoming IT Conclave. The new vision documents would deal with development of required infrastructure, separate clusters for electronic manufacturing activities, including mobile handsets, CCTV units and television sets.
Recently, the Government of Bihar in association with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized Industry Consultations in New Delhi to showcase the investment opportunities in the State and interact with the investors.
