BENGALURU: India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA), the premier trade body, representing the Indian electronic system design and manufacturing (ESDM), along with The Indus Entrepreneur (TiE), Bangalore, and General Electric (GE) announced BPL Medical Technologies as the winner of ‘Innovation Award’ and Cardiac Design Labs as the winner of ‘Impact Award’.
IESA, TiE and GE have shortlisted 8 innovative healthcare companies, from 45 start-ups in the healthcare space, for ‘Healthcare Product Showcase’ at the recently concluded IoTNext 2015 to showcase their innovative and impactful next-age IoT enabled Healthcare products.
Commenting about the awards, MN Vidyashankar, President, IESA said, “As the potential of Internet of Things blossoms with real-life anecdotes, healthcare as an industry has been quick to adopt the integration of IoT into their product innovation. We foresee a global dependence on India’s IoT ecosystem to deliver healthcare innovations and we have witnessed this during the recently concluded IoTNext 2015. It was very difficult to shortlist 8 companies from our 45 identified start-ups and it was a herculean task to finalize the winners for Innovation Award and Impact Award, as we believe each of these start-ups has the capability to take their products and services to the global audience. We convey our best wishes to Cardiac Design and BPL Medical Technologies for their achievement,” he further added.
On winning the award, Anand Madanagopal, Founder and CEO, Cardiac Design Labs said, “It is a moment of great pride for us that our efforts are getting noticed and recognized by the industry. Apart from the award, the winner of Innovation Award and Impact Award have also received a cash price of Rs 100, 000 each.
