CHENNAI: Calsonic Kansei (CK) and L&T Technology Services have inaugurated their jointly developed Material Test Centre (MTC) at Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The test center is setup and operated by L&T Technology Services to cater to Calsonic Kansei’s global needs of material testing including Japan, Europe, North America, Thailand and India.
The inauguration was presided over by Calsonic Kansei’s Executives, Katsumi Nakamura - Chairman, Hiroshi Moriya - CEO, Hideto Murakami - EVP (R&D) along with Keshab Panda – CEO and MD at L&T Technology Services and Kumar Prabhas – COO, L&T Technology Services. The new centre is equipped with state of the art machines to test a range of automotive plastics.
Hideto Murakami - EVP (R&D) Calsonic Kansei commented, “This (MTC) is a strategic center to take care of our global testing needs, it adds significant value to Calsonic Kansei and we are happy to expand our relationship with L&T Technology Services since the start of our Engineering Development Center a little less than 4 years ago.”
Dr Keshab Panda, CEO & MD at L&T Technology Services said, “We are delighted to have this opportunity to scale up our partnership that began in 2012, when we launched the development center for Calsonic Kansei. We have been consistently adding value and innovation to CK’s engineering process since then and are now happy to extend this value chain with the setup of this facility.”
