Cisco signs Radware for DDoS mitigation technology

NEW DELHI: Radware, a provider of application delivery and application security solutions for virtual and cloud data centers, will provide its distributed denial of service (DDoS) mitigation technology for the new Cisco Firepower 9300 appliance, designed for service providers.

Cisco Systems selected Radware's DDoS mitigation technology that helps protect against security threats targeted at the availability of the protected service, without blocking legitimate user traffic.

"We are excited to be a part of Cisco's next generation security platform - the Firepower 9300 appliance," said Nikhil Taneja, Country Manager and Regional Director, India and SAARC, Radware.

"By incorporating Radware's DDoS protection on the Firepower 9300 with Cisco's unique security approach, a more threat centric solution will be available to the service providers, including advanced firewalling, DDoS protection, and other security protection services," added Taneja.
