Dire Situation for Co-WIN App

However, the situation seems worsening as people are not receiving OTPs which are required by the portal for logging in to register. People have to try for a fair few times for the same. In worse cases, the app and the website just crashes.

This is a worrisome situation as millions of people are left stranded at the login page.

Please stay tuned for further updates.

Update 1

After several re-attempts, I was able to complete the registration. Here is what you can do:

  1. Login to the Co-Win Web portal on your devices. A laptop/PC is better than a phone. Avoid the App
  2. Keep hitting "Resend OTP" till the time you get one.
  3. Most importantly, you can register up to 4 people on one Mobile number, so please keep that in mind.

Update 2

Many users who have completed registrations are now reporting that the portal is not accepting their registration. Specifically, the portal is not allowing the users under the age of 45 years to book appointments. This is yet another issue which people need to look out for.

Of course, there is absolutely no need to rush if you are healthy. Please do note that there are millions of people trying to register at the same time, that is why there are so many issues on the portal. Please remain calm and practise all precautions till the time you can register for the vaccination, which should be soon.
