NEW DELHI: BICSI, the association supporting advancements in Information and Communications Technology, concluded the BICSI India District Conference 2016. The conference witnessed over 350 attendees from the ICT industry and showcased, current advancements in ICT, enthralling observations on technology solutions and ICT skilling; along with insights & knowledge about the latest standards and practices in today’s emerging market.

Ketan Kothari, District Chair, BICSI India, opened the conference with a welcome speech, as he highlighted BICSIs role in strengthening the ICT community in India and empowering the ICT experts adopt global standards, best practices & methodologies and address key changes in the ICT Infrastructure efficiently.

Kothari presented the integrated approach of BICSI and how it is committed to offering the highest quality education and training to professionals and help them build knowledge, skills and experiences, continuously and adaptively to the current industry requirements.

Eminent speakers enriched the conclave by their presence and the conference session witnessed many informative presentations. Present at the occasion, Rajeshwari Ganesan, Senior Director & Head - Systems Engineering & Technology Incubation - ‎EdgeVerve, shared interesting insights on the emerging practicality of artificial intelligence and how enterprises and consumers are embracing the advancement of algorithm’s and human – machine driven technologies.

Ninad Desai, District Secretary, BICSI India in his vote of thanks, delivered exceptional thoughts on changing technology dynamics and BICSI’s strategic programs and key initiatives to empower ICT experts while placing emphasis on quality education & training to ICT industry professionals.

This was further followed by a panel discussion, in which Mr. M N Vidyashankar, President - India Electronics and Semiconductor Association, reiterated on nurturing the right ICT skill set, skill enhancement and certification by establishing skilling centres and delivering programmes on design and installation to meet the demands of the ICT industry.

Presenting key developments in structured cabling, Ronald Tellas of Belden, illustrated on cabling performance that now include power delivery efficiency and Wayne Allen, Technical Evangelist, Fluke Networks, showcased; testing solutions in enterprise networks and datacenter structured cabling.

Technical presentations were also delivered by Kiran K Katariya, Technical Manager, CommScope, on ICT standards updates; Konstantin Hudepohl, Ideal Industries on Cabling and Network tests for IoT applications; Eric Chng, Panduit on Impact of higher PoE++ on Twisted Pair Structured Cabling; Kunal Kumar Singh, Rosenberger on Big Data and Datacenter Transformations; and Narender Vasandani, Siemon Cabling on Enabling Emerging Applications with Shielding Cabling; apart from ICT IQ quiz conducted by Ninad Desai, RCDD, NTS, Secretary, BICSI India District.
