NEW DELHI: Cyient, a global provider of engineering, manufacturing, networks and operations services and analytics solutions, has appointed Suman Narayan as the Senior Vice President and Head for the Semiconductor Business Unit for Cyient. He has over two decades of experience in the semiconductor industry and has served in various leadership roles at ON Semiconductor (previously Fairchild Semiconductor) and Texas Instruments.
The management has expressed through the press release that Narayan will be responsible for shaping and leading Cyient’s semiconductor business, while refining, owning and executing a strategic roadmap that will support the company’s growth plans to 2020.
At ON Semiconductor, Narayan served as the Vice President and General Manager for the power semiconductor portfolio. There he was entrusted with driving innovation around critical power products for high performance CPU’s/FPGA’s in server, compute, gaming and telecom applications. Prior to that he worked with Texas Instruments where he held a variety of leadership positions at Texas Instruments, where he was responsible for incubating and launching the motor driver busi ness and growing the P&L for the embedded processor business based on ARM and Digital Signal Processors (DSP) products. Narayan is passionate about creating new products and solving system level problems for end customers. Narayan holds a degree in electrical engineering from PSG College of Technology, India, a dual master’s degree in engineering from Iowa State University and an MBA from University of Texas at Austin.
