BENGALURU: Cloud telephony company Exotel has launched Exotel.org ── a portal where non-profits and social enterprises can access the company’s telephony solutions at lower rates than commercial outfits.
The company indicates that Exotel.org was established with the idea of being a combined force in furthering the vision of social entities. The ‘Calls for a better tomorrow’ initiative at Exotel.org will open up the platform to socially driven organizations, giving them access to telephony solutions that will help further their reach.
Speaking at the launch, Shivakumar Ganesan, Co-Founder and CEO, Exotel said, “We are very excited to provide our simplified solutions to enable non-profits and social enterprises to operate at their full potential by reaching more people, at a relatively low cost subscription-based deployment model. This announcement represents an important milestone in our endeavor to improve lives through technology. Over 774 million people around the world cannot read or write. They do, however, use a mobile phone for basic, everyday communication. Mobile phones are, therefore, the gateway to reaching out to the masses. The cloud technology could help organizations connect with millions in a matter of minutes.”
