BENGALURU: The FreeCharge Go card now has over 1 million customers. The FreeCharge GO card was launched by one of India’s digital payments platform FreeCharge in partnership with Yes Bank and powered by MasterCard in January 2016. In less than 60 days over a million cards have been created by customers, expressed FreeCharge. With this, FreeCharge wallet becomes the most widely accepted online wallet and is well on its way to be the leading Digital Payment Operating System of the country, observes FreeCharge.

FreeCharge expressed that its payment system is swifter and safer than cash and available everywhere. Customers are now using it at major e-commerce portals, to pay for movie tickets, book event tickets, pay for various transportation services and hyperlocal services.

Commenting on this, Govind Rajan, Chief Operating Officer FreeCharge said, “The FreeCharge GO card is a product which has proved to be a win-win for both our customers and merchants, as it makes FreeCharge wallet the most ubiquitous in the online space. With over 1 million users of the FreeCharge GO card in less 60 days we have begun our journey towards enabling the country to move towards a less cash economy.”
