NEW DELHI: Come November, the global telecom industry giants will convene at Dallas, Texas to be part of GEN15, the global gathering of networking professionals. The conference & exhibition aims to enable the future of agile, assured and orchestrated services to be powered by Carrier Ethernet (CE) 2.0, Lifecycle Service Orchestration (LSO), SDN and NFV.
The event is set to empower service end-users, service providers, network technology providers, software vendors and other industry stakeholders with high-quality information, analysis, and peer-to-peer networking opportunities.
The idea is to accelerate the participants' understanding of the paradigm shift from pre-defined, static connectivity services towards dynamic ‘Third Network’ services delivered over more automated, interconnected networks. Third Network services combined the on-demand agility and ubiquity of the Internet with the performance and security assurances of CE 2.0 will be showcased.
GEN15 will include industry-leading keynote speakers, educational roundtables, and panels with dedicated tracks for enterprise end-users; retail, wholesale, mobile, and cloud service providers, and others. The event will also feature an expanded Proof of Concept Services & Technology Showcase in a vibrant Networking Hall, the MEF 2015 Excellence Awards Dinner, a Global Media Hub, a pre-conference MEF Certified Professionals Convention, workshops, and much more.
The Proof of Concept (PoC) Showcase is the centerpiece of the GEN15 Networking Hall and a highlight of the event. The GEN15 Showcase will include 14 interactive PoC demonstrations of new service and technology innovations that will shape the future of global networking and fuel productivity gains for service providers and end-users.
Last year's PoC Showcase included demonstrations of leading-edge implementations of dynamic, cloud-centric Carrier Ethernet services with SDN, NFV, automated provisioning, service orchestration, and other innovations. This year, the event will take industry innovation to the next level by demonstrating the MEF's Third Network and LSO vision in relation to SDN and NFV.
The event will be held in Dallas, Texas from November 16-19, 2015.
