NEW DELHI: Chinese handset maker Huawei Technologies unveiled the new Huawei watch for Indian consumers. The watch, with its classic design, inspired by Swiss timepieces, will go on sale exclusively on Flipkart.com starting today at 2pm for Rs.22, 999.
The Huawei watch, powered by Android Wear, enables you to stay connected wherever you are, with instant alerts for calls, texts, instant messages and emails.
With Bluetooth connectivity for wireless headphone usage, coupled with offline music download support, staying active is made even easier. Music can be started via voice commands, with users able to search for destinations and navigate their way there using the same voice actions. Locating missing phones has never been easier than with the watch’s “find my phone” function.
And now, with the latest version of Google’s Android Wea, both Android and iOS users will be able to connect to the Huawei Watch.

Earlier last year, the company presented the Huawei smartwatch to the ace global designer, Professor Jimmy Choo. Globally, Huawei has also tied up with celebrated personalities like Mario Testino and fashion icons like Karlie Kloss & Sean O’Pry. It has also collaborated with Swarovski to create exclusive collection of Huawei watch for women.
Huawei invests heavily in R&D. The Bangalore city houses Huawei’s largest R&D centre outside China and Global network operations Centre. The company owns more than 15, 000 device patents out of which over 60% are for smartphones. It has created waves in the Indian market through its dual-brand strategy where brand Honor caters to the mass market; Huawei has created a niche for itself by introducing some premium range and high-tech products like the Huawei Nexus 6P recently.
