NEW DELHI: Aditya Birla group-led Idea Cellular has announced announced the expansion of its hi-speed 4G LTE service to 22 more towns in Karnataka circle, taking the total tally to 61. Covering all major towns across all 27 districts, the company has increased its presence exponentially within a short span of time.
In 29 out of these over 61 towns, Idea has also become the sole operator to provide 4G LTE services.
Idea’s world class 4G LTE service is available in the major towns of Mangalore, Hubli-Dharwad, Hospet, Udupi, Davangere, Hassan, Kolar, Tumkur, Bijapur, Bagalkot and Bidar, in addition to the existing towns of Bangalore, Mysore, Belgaum and Chitradurga; where services were launched earlier.
"Idea’s 4G network in Karntaka is built on a strong foundation of a total 2,450 4G sites and will continue to expand as more and more users join the Idea 4G LTE family," the company said.
