NEW DELHI: Country's third largest telecom operator Idea Cellular has said that its subscriber base has reached two crore in Madhya Pradesh (MP) and Chhattisgarh.
"Idea made this landmark achievement on the back of a highly successful FY15 when it added nearly 20 lakhs users in the circle and recorded highest YoY growth of nearly four percentage points in Revenue Market Share (RMS), which stood at 39.6% in Q4FY15," a company statement said.
Idea has become the first mobile operator in MP and Chhattisgarh to have over two crore customers, and it is the second circle for the company to achieve the milestone after the neighbouring Maharashtra and Goa circle.
To mark the occasion, Idea is launching a campaign thanking its over two crore customers from the states of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh for joining the ‘Most Trusted Network’.

Idea has consistently been investing in network expansion to set up the widest 2G and 3G network in the circle, comprising of 9,804 sites covering more than 52,000 towns and villages, the statement said.

Idea has invested in spectrum acquisition in 900 MHz, 1800 MHz and 2100 MHz bands for MP and Chhattisgarh circle in the last five years.
