Idea takes on Jio: New Prepaid Plan offers Unlimited Calling for 56 Days with 2GB data at Rs.189

Idea Cellular has brought a new prepaid plan of Rs.189, which offers 2GB of 2G/3G/4G data, unlimited voice calling along with 100 SMS per day, TelecomTalk reports. But with these benefits, there is a catch.

The catch is that this new tariff plan is only available in select circles and only to a limited set of users. As per the report, with this new prepaid recharge plan, the Idea users can now get unlimited voice calling benefit with a daily FUP limit for 56 days.

According to the report, the telco has recently removed talk time recharges from its portfolio and it’s currently providing just three talk time plans of Rs 10, Rs 1,000 and Rs 5,000. The report noted that the Telecom Operator is putting a limit to voice calls with – 250 minutes per day and 1000 minutes per week. The calls will be restricted to 100 unique numbers during the validity period of 56 days, the report added.

This plan is in direct completion with Jio, which offers 2GB of daily data, unlimited voice calls, and 100 SMS messages per day for 28 days at Rs.198.
