India GSM subscriber base grows by 4.14 mn to 720.38 mn in June: COAI

NEW DELHI: India's GSM cellular subscriber base increased by 4.14 million in the month of June to 720.38 million, according to data released by GSM lobby group Cellular Association of India (COAI).

Country's top operator Bharti Airtel added the maximum 1.21 mn customers to 230.66 million subscribers base and UP (East) circle witnessed the maximum subscribers additions at 64.80 million.

Idea Cellular 1.620 million subscribers to take its base to 162.0 million whereas Vodafone added 0.39 million users and its overall base at the end of June stood at 185.3 million.

Aircel added 0.3 million users to take its base to 83 million while Uninor added 0.41 million users.
