India Mobile Congress announces the 6th edition of South Asia’s largest Technology Conclave

IMC 2022, will witness 70,000 attendees, 7,000 CXO-level delegates, 300 speakers, and 350 exhibitors in 60+ sessions during this edition.

Minister of Communications, Electronics & Information Technology and Railways, Government of India, Ashwini Vaishnaw, announced that the Sixth edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2022 is scheduled for Sep 29- Oct 1 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.

IMC in all its editions, has encouraged the positioning of India as a Global destination for Manufacturing and Technology products. Since its inception in 2017, IMC has been jointly organized by the Department of Telecommunications and COAI. This year IMC is going to be held physically after 2 years of being held virtually, and will once again experience technological innovations first-hand with all the glitz and glitter.

Inaugurating the sixth edition, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw said: “The ongoing development indicates that the telecom industry has come a long way in 5G advancements. The industry has emerged to become a sunrise industry in India and a benchmark for the world. We are committed to make sure that India’s regulatory systems are transformed to become world’s best so that industries across the globe are comfortable to invest and plan for the next ten years. We are also aiming to remove all potential sources of uncertainties and encourage industry players to share their ideas for building strong foundations for the future generations”.

Commenting on the occasion Shri Devusinh Chauhan, Minister of State for Communication said, “We are living in a world that is being transformed by ever-developing technologies. The government of India has reached new heights in introducing 5G technology and is doing an auction of 1.5 Lakh crores for 5G technology. It is a true testimony of our efforts in making India a digitalized nation. We have introduced reforms that are industry friendly and are a true reflection of our philosophy of bringing a socio-economic change in India. We aim to facilitate last mile connectivity to India’s hinterlands and I believe IMC will become a catalyst in bringing this change.”

The event, jointly organized by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and COAI, will witness 70,000 attendees, 7,000 CXO-level delegates, 300 speakers, and 350 exhibitors in 60+ sessionsduring this edition.There will be exclusive round-tables to facilitate in-depth dialogue on a variety of pertinent industry topics. The event will also include India’s biggest technology exhibition and bring together some of the finest minds from across the globe in the technology space.
