NEW DELHI: Indusface, provider of application security solutions for web and mobile applications, has entered into an agreement with Dragonfly Technologies, an Australian security company, to promote data security standards in payment card industry.
Branko Ninkovic, CEO, Dragonfly, said, "We have an opportunity to build a PCI community whose mission is to drive continuous best practice security and provide a clear path to PCI DSS compliance so our customers can focus on their business goals. With our newly formed DrivePCI initiative, and founding alliance member, Indusface can make a real difference to businesses everywhere."
Dragonfly provides a range of services in areas like governance, risk and compliance, penetration testing and web application security. By entering into this alliance, the company will leverage the PCI (Payment Card Industry) solutions offered by Indusface to address their customer requirements across different geographies.
Ashish Tandon, CEO, Indusface, said, "Being an Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) for PCI Security Standards Council, Indusface will help organizations perform regular vulnerability checks to prevent exploits and misuse. In this alliance with Dragonfly, we also look to help companies comply with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) 6.6 requirement with our Total Application Security solution that detects, protects and monitors. PCI DSS 6.6 mandates addressing vulnerabilities on public-facing web applications, which is an area of our expertise."
The PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) is a set of requirements founded on security best practices for protecting payment card data. In order to comply with the PCI DSS norms, merchants and service providers are required to have external vulnerability scans performed on their systems every quarter. These scans must be performed by an Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV), a third-party solution provider approved by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SCC).
