NEW DELHI: Intex Technologies in partnership with NDTV-DPLI’s Behtar India Campaign, today announced its support for Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) India to donate dengue protection kits to 2000 underprivileged kids in Delhi worth Rs 6 lakhs as part of the Stage 1 of Behtar India - Behtar Swasthya.
Behtar Swasthya (Health) stage of the campaign aims to fight the scourge of mosquito borne diseases. Intex’s contribution will be used to provide mosquito protection kits to underprivileged children in government schools across Delhi. These kits will include the all-essential precautionary kit against mosquitoes throughout the Dengue season and also provide a health cover to fight it.
Speaking on the initiative, Ishita Bansal, CSR Project Head, Intex Technologies said, “We are delighted to be a part of NDTV-DPLI’s Behtar India initiative as it aims to mobilise students, citizens and corporate to join a nationwide movement on three main pillars– Health, Cleanliness, and Environment. Intex Technologies has always worked on and supported initiatives for betterment of the society and the upliftment of the marginalised and underprivileged.”
Under the Behtar Swasthya program, looking at creating awareness about the cause, prevention and mechanisms to fight such diseases, students across country are to be the crusaders of this campaign. A specifically designed competitive mechanism for schools and school students is to encourage them to collect funds through door-to-door crowd funding for protecting underprivileged kids against mosquitoes.

The second stage of the campaign focuses on Behtar Swachhta (Cleanliness). In keeping the dream of a Swachh Bharat, this leg of the campaign will focus on clean-up drives across India to spread the message of cleanliness and raise awareness about health and hygiene. The third and last stage of the campaign is Behtar Vatavaran (Environment). Here the participants registered for the campaign are expected to plant saplings for a greener future.
