Intex LED TV Awarded Appliance of the Year

Intex Technologies’ consumer durables business got a feather in its cap when its 32 inch LED TV won the coveted ‘Appliance of the Year award in the Color Television Category’ at the Government’s flagship event - National Energy Conservation Awards 2017, organized by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) recently.

The event was graced by the Honorable President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, along with Honorable Minister of State (I/C) for Power and New & Renewable Energy, Shri R.K. Singh.

The award recognizes the most energy efficient model in six product categories of Air Conditioner, Ceiling Fan, Refrigerator, Storage Water Heater, Television, and Pumps.

Participating Industries from across the country achieved Energy Savings of 2762 mn kWh and Monetary Savings of INR 1,895 crore during FY 2016-17. As part of its awareness outreach, BEE recognizes and encourages endeavors of industries in reducing energy consumption by felicitating them with National Energy Conservation Awards. BEE also awards prizes to the national winners of the annual National Painting Competition on Energy Conservation.
