Reliance Jio Announces JioBusiness To Revolutionize MSMEs

Reliance Jio announced seven lucrative offers under its new Enterprise-related venture. Dubbed JioBusiness, this venture seeks to "empower MSMEs with Integrated Fiber Connectivity and Digital Solutions".

What is JioBusiness?

The Mukesh Ambani-led telco announced the business digital solutions venture, integrated with Jio GigaFiber and other Jio services. Furthermore, this service aims to provide a one-stop solution for all the productivity, connectivity and automation needs of an MSME. Currently, an MSME spends between 15,000 to 20,000/month towards these needs. Reliance Jio seeks to establish themselves further across all possible verticals with its vast and very well-balanced network. Finally, the plan is to reach more than 50 million MSMEs across the country with rental plans starting as low as INR 901 per month.

The whole enterprise is based on three key features:

1. Enterprise-Grade Fiber Connectivity that offers voice and data services;
2. Digital Solutions that help enterprises manage and grow their business; and
3. Devices that enable leading digital solutions for MSMEs.

Incidentally, the plans are trifurcated based on these three key features.

JioBusiness Categories

Reliance Jio is offering a wide variety of services in their plans. However, some of the advanced features are only available at higher end plans. Even so, the following are the three "pillars" of JioBusiness:

  • Unlimited Fiber Broadband, with download speeds up to 1 Gbps.
  • Unlimited Voice, via an Enterprise-grade Centrex with up to 8 lines.
  • Fixed Mobile Convergence to receive business calls outside the office network
  • Static IP (starts from INR 5001/month plan)
• Digital Solutions
  • Microsoft 365 with Office Apps, Outlook, One Drive, Teams (starts from INR 1201, up to 25 licenses).
  • Jio Attendance (starts from INR 1201, up to 50 licenses).
  • JioOnline for Online Marketing (starts from INR 1201, has two types - Basic and Pro).
  • JioMeet and Microsoft Teams (starts from INR 5001, up to 4/25 Licenses respectively).
• Devices
  • Device as a Service from Reliance Digital
  • Special Offers on Devices at Reliance Digital (both start from INR 2001)

Speaking at this announcement, Mr. Akash Ambani, Director, Jio lauded the importance of MSMEs in the Indian Economy stating that they are “the bedrock of Indian economy". He also pointed out that there was the market gap for integrated digital services for such enterprises in the country, saying that the MSMEs "are unable to leverage the power of digital technologies to run their businesses efficiently."

Adding to the same, Mr. Ambani noted that JioBusiness "will bridge this gap by providing integrated Enterprise-grade voice and data services, Digital Solutions and Devices, to small businesses. These easy-to-use solutions will help them run their business efficiently and compete with larger enterprises".
