Jio bags Telecom Manthan 2019 Award for outstanding contribution in skill development

Reliance Jio Infocomm was awarded the Outstanding Contribution in Skill Development for Jio Certifications: Making Talent More Valuable, at the recently-held Telecom Manthan 2019.

For a fast-paced and diversified organisation, like Reliance Jio, getting the right talent, at the right time, is key. While both – demand-side and supply-side – actors were available within the organisation, internal talent mobility is required to bridge the demand-supply gap.

Jio Certifications is a re-inforced RPL-based certification programme focused on cross-skilling, upskilling and re-skilling. It recognises prior learning through a rigorous certification mechanism, including course work, classroom, as well as online instructions, assignments, live projects, skill simulation and a summative assessment.

To ensure practical skill development on cutting-edge technologies, a 50-seater technology learning lab (TeLL) has been set up at Reliance Corporate Park, Navi Mumbai. TeLL offers a supervised hands-on skill development across the entire technology spectrum. Reliance Corporate Park has also been hosting the Techgig Code Gladiators – an annual coding competition to identify the top programmers in the world. This competition has also been recognized as largest coding contest by the Guinness World Record.
