JioFiber Gives Up To 30 Days Extra on Annual, Semi-Annual Plans, Details Inside

JioFiber is now offering as many as 30 more days of extra validity in its semi-annual (6 months) and annual internet plans. Notably, the broadband arm of Reliance Jio will offer 15 extra days for its semi-annual plans and 30 extra days for its annual plans.

JioFiber Semi-Annual Plans

There are 7 semi-annual plans, which start at Rs. 2,394 and go as far as Rs. 50,994 (all figures without GST). The plans increment in terms of speed and subscriptions offered.

All the plans were initially valid for 180 days. However, in the recent offer, the validity extends by 15 days to 195 days. The plans are as follows:

• Rs. 2,394 Plan: This plan offers Unlimited Data with no FUP limit at 30 Mbps, with unlimited voice. However, there are no OTT subscriptions included in this plan.
• Rs. 4,194 Plan: This plan has the same benefits as the previous plan. However, the speed is increased by more than three times to 100 Mbps. There are no OTT subscriptions here as well.
• Rs. 5,994 Plan: This is the first plan with OTT subscriptions. Basically, this is the previous plan in terms of broadband deliverables, except there are 15 subscriptions. These include Amazon Prime Video, Disney+Hotstar VIP, SonyLIV, ZEE5, Sun NXT, Voot Select, Voot Kids, ALTBalaji, Hoichoi, ShemarooMe, Lionsgate Play, Discovery+, EROS Now, JioSaavn, JioCinema and a complimentary (read: obligatory) Jio Apps subscription. Also, this plan offers 150 Mbps upload/download speed.
• Rs. 8,994 Plan: This is the first plan to offer Netflix subscription. However, it is only a Basic plan, that means only 1 user. This plan offers all the other subscriptions in the previous plan, with a 300 Mbps up/down speed.
• Rs. 14,994 Plan: Interestingly, this plan offers Netflix Standard plan. What's more, there is a 500 Mbps up/down speed, so you can stream those shows in 4K. Rest all as per.
• Rs. 23,994 Plan: Only the second most ridiculous plan in this segment, this plan offers a whopping 1 Gbps upload and download speeds. Rest all is the same as the previous plan.
• Rs. 50,994 Plan: A truly eye-watering amount, this plan offers the creme-de-la-creme of broadband. 1 Gbps up/down, with a limit of 6600 GB per month (that's rather unnecessary, but I digress), and, most importantly, Netflix Premium. But Disney+Hotstar remains at VIP, what's that about?

JioFiber Annual Plans

In essence, these plans are simply doubled up, jacked up versions of the semi-annual plans by JioFiber. As per the new offer, Reliance is giving 30 more days to users who buy an yearly plan. That means you basically get 13 months for the price of 12.

There are 7 plans, and the details are as follows:

• Rs. 4,788 Plan: This plan offers Unlimited Data with no FUP limit at 30 Mbps, with unlimited voice. However, there are no OTT subscriptions included in this plan.
• Rs. 8,388 Plan: This plan has the same benefits as the previous plan, with 100 Mbps up/down speed.
• Rs. 11,988 Plan: This is the first plan with OTT subscriptions in the yearly segment. The deliverables are same, except with a 150 Mbps up/down speed. The list of subscriptions is mentioned above.
• Rs. 17,988 Plan: This is the first plan to offer Netflix subscription in the yearly segment. As was the case with its semi-annual counterpart, it is only a Basic plan. Similarly, this plan offers all the other subscriptions in the previous plan, with a 300 Mbps up/down speed.
• Rs. 29,988 Plan: This plan finally offers a Netflix Standard plan. Couple that with a 500 Mbps up/down speed, and you get more than enough speed to game without lag or stream in 4K. Rest all as per.
• Rs. 47,988 Plan: As was the case with its semi-annual counterpart, this plan offers a whopping 1 Gbps upload and download speeds. Rest all is the same as the previous plan. The only increment here is the download speeds.
• Rs. 1,01,988 Plan: If you can pay this much for a broadband connection per year, you have to be making good use of it. 1 Gbps up/down, with an irrelevant limit of 6600 GB per month, and Netflix Premium, with 15 more subscriptions.

Again, Disney+Hotstar remains at VIP. Again, what's that about?
