NEW DELHI: State-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched its free wi-fi services at Malpe beach in the Udupi District in Karnataka.
With launch, Malpe beach has become the first beach in India to get free wi-fi connectivity.
The 24x7 wifFi connectivity will be available to tourists free of cost for 30 minutes at any time of the day during their visit, with speeds matching 4G.
The free wi-fi access at Malpe beach is sponsored by Udupi district administration and Malpe Beach Development Authority.
For free service, BSNL has joined hands with MsQuadgen Wireless Solutions Inc supported by the union government's Digital Drive Initiative.
For customers front, people who are using BSNL, MTNL, MTS, Airtel, Vodafone, Reliance, Idea Cellular, and Aircel service can use this facility.
