NEW DELHI: The South Korean smartphone maker LG Electronics (LG) has launched its K Series smartphone-K10 and K7 ahead of Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016.
“LG K Series smartphones will be the first to offer LG’s glossy pebble design language, a contemporary, stylish look with a curved, modern finish aimed at a younger audience. The glossy pebble design is complemented by LG’s new 2.5D Arc Glass for a smooth and seamless style that could only be made possible due to the sides of K Series smartphones being free of button clutter,” the Korean smartphone maker claimed.
“The K Series is designed with multimedia creating and consumption in mind with a roomy display to show images and videos captured with the most advanced camera on a smartphone in this category ― 13MP on the rear and 8MP on the front in the case of the K10,” a statement said.
The LG K10 has a 2,300mAh battery that powers a 5.3-inch panel with a resolution of 1,280 x 720.The new device comes in two variants based on 3G and 4G LTE connectivity support.
On the storage front, the LG K10 includes an onboard storage of 16GB or 8GB. It has 5-inch FWVGA display and under the hood, the LTE model is powered by a 1GHz quad-core processor, while the 3G model is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core chipset. The new phone is available in three colour variants - white, indigo, and gold.
Similarly, LG K7 device runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box but features less powerful innards as compared to the K10. It comes with 3G and 4G LTE supporting variants. The 3G model packs a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz, while the 4G LTE version packs a 1.1GHz quad-core SoC.
The device is available in white, black, and gold colour, and titan colour variants.
“Our 2016 K Series is the latest example of LG applying it best mobile technology and premium design philosophy across numerous smartphone categories,” said Juno Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.
