NEW DELHI: Manoj Kohli, Managing Director, Bharti Enterprises, has resigned from the board of Bharti Airtel.
In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Bharti Airtel said that Kohli has resigned as non-executive director.
Informing about changes in composition of the Board of Directors of the company, Airtel said Shishir Priyadarshi has been appointed as an independent director.
Kohli had led Bharti Airtel's India operations for eight years during which the customer base grew from 1 million to 140 million before moving to Africa in 2010.
He left his position as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Airtel's International Business to take over as MD of Bharti Enterprises in April 2014.
