NEW DELHI: Meru has announced an integration with Google that will enable commuters to book cabs via Google Maps.
While using Google apps to find a direction to reach their destination, users now have an option to find a cab from the entire range of Meru’s services - Radio Taxi, Sedan, Hatchback & SUV, for their instant travel needs.
"To make it further convenient, users can check and compare the fare estimate as well as the ETA of the cab on the Google Map itself. Users are then seamlessly navigated to the Meru App to confirm the ride and find the cab details. The new feature is seamlessly integrated with Google Map’s ride services option along with other commuting modes like driving, walking or using public transport like buses. The feature is available for both Android and iOS phones," a statement said.
Speaking on the technology adoption, Nilesh Sangoi, CEO, Meru said, “We are delighted to have Meru integrated in Google Maps to provide a seamless travel solution to our customers. At Meru, we understand that choosing the best mode of transportation can be a chore. We recognise that today’s customers have high expectations for a hassle-free experience while looking for commuting options and Meru is committed to offer a variety of convenient, affordable quality services.”
Meru recently introduced three new categories of Hatchback, Sedan & SUV on its app, with fares starting around Rs.8 to 9 km. These services are also available on Google Map, along with the Radio Taxi category.
As an introductory offer, users will get flat Rs.50 Off on all trips booked via Google map.
