NEW Delhi: NTT Communications Corporation has said it would invest and expand high-quality data centers, cloud services and international network services based on its service strategy ‘Global Cloud Vision’ and would set up its largest-ever data center in Mumbai.
Speaking on the occasion of its 10th anniversary in India, Masakazu Kobayashi, Managing Director, NTT Com India, said: “With a robust India strategy ahead and an explosive growth in data traffic in India along-with an expansive need of hosting and cloud, NTT Com India along with our sister company Netmagic Solutions would optimize the information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure of enterprises in India.”
NTT Communications globally owns data centers under the brand of “Nexcenter” in over 130 locations with 349,000 sq mtr server floor space. “Netmagic continues to innovate and create Intellectual Property through R&D whether it is in the area of improving PuE, automation in cloud, business processes or new products. The company is building its largest ever data center in Mumbai and will be operational from the third quarter of CY2015,” added Sharad Sanghi, CEO and Managing Director – Netmagic, an NTT Communications Company.
To mark its 10th anniversary, the company has inaugurated a new branch office in Ahmedabad, which will support companies planning to build factories and start new business in the state of Gujarat.
“With our proposed Unified License, NTT Com India will shortly be able to provide a high-quality National Long-Distance branded network in the country. In addition to the NTT Com’s Submarine Cable Systems which connect Japan, US and major Asian countries including India at the industry's lowest transmission latency, NTT Com India will provide a range of network services that are expanding in India. Specific offerings will include secure, high-quality private network services, such as IP-VPN connecting data centers or cloud to the domestic and overseas customer,” Kobayashi said.
Globally, NTT Com is a long-distance and ICT solutions provider, with subsidiaries and offices in124 cities across 42 countries around the world.
NTT Communications has five subsidiaries in India including NTT Com India, Netmagic, Arkadin India, Emerio India and Virtela India, and its solutions leverage these subsidiaries and the Indian resources of other NTT Group companies including Dimension Data and NTT DATA.
