NEW DELHI: Obi Worldphone, the lead brand of Obi Mobiles, is set to launch its new line of smartphones on August 26, 2015, in the Silicon Valley.
The phones are crafted by design firm and Obi’s equity partner, Ammunition. Obi would be offering what’s next in design, along with a new standard to drive the global mobile agenda. The phones are slated to address the gap between high design high price smartphones and low price generic smartphones.
The flagship device is created on a Qualcomm Snapdragon platform, and includes software and hardware solutions from industry partners.
In line with its global launch, the company has already established its presence in various countries including Dubai, Shenzhen, New Delhi, London, Singapore and USA, and aims at leveraging its expertise in distribution and partnerships globally.
Obi Worldphone co-founded by John Sculley, technology investor and former head of Pepsi-Cola and Apple. Obi Worldphone creates smartphones that integrate industrial design with high-end technology aimed at young consumers in high-growth markets around the world.
