Open Doors: a new voice-based app from Truecaller

On July 13, Truecaller announced the release of 'Open Doors', an audio-based conversation application. The app will be available globally.

Truecaller launches open doors

The truecaller customers are required to download the software and just sign in to be able to use it. On the other hand, individuals who are not using Truecaller can log into Open Doors by confirming their phone number via missed call or a one-time password (OTP).

On July 13, Truecaller announced the release of 'Open Doors', an audio-based conversation application. The app will be fully free and accessible worldwide on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store fore both Android and iOS users, according to the business.

Truecaller revealed that the app affiliate is currently available in English, Hindi, Spanish, Latin, and French, and it will soon be available in additional languages. The company also said that the talks that take place through the app are not recorded and cannot be saved or overheard without the user's knowledge.

According to a press statement from Truecaller, the software runs without a hitch on both smartphone operating systems.

“Thanks to Truecaller being 13 years in the business, we’ve spent a great deal of time learning about how people communicate. Our new app Open Doors was born out of a simple question - how can we help people make new connections without being intrusive? And this is what we want to do: to bridge the world using the most natural form of communication, our voices," stated Nami Zarringhalam, Chief Strategy Officer and Co-founder of Truecaller in an official blog post.

Truecaller stated that, "There are only two permissions the software requires: Contacts- in order to be able to share 'Open Doors' or get in touch easily with other people in your contacts who also use Open Doors and Phone Authorization-necessary for audio discussions."

Open Doors puts the user in total control. According to the firm, users of Open Door can join and leave discussions at any time. "Your friends can also join chats once they receive a notification or click a shared link," it added.

Additionally, it stated that the phone numbers of those participating in a conversation cannot be seen by any participant.

With this new application, Truecaller has set its sight on competing with similar platforms like Twitter Spaces.
