Prior to his appointment as the MD & CEO of Indus Towers, Prachur led the Oil & Gas vertical of Vedanta, Cairn.
Indus Towers Limited (Formerly Bharti Infratel Limited) today, has appointed Prachur Sah as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer with effect from 3rd January 2023.
Commenting on the appointment, N Kumar, Independent Director and Chairman of the Board, Indus Towers said, “We are delighted to welcome Prachur to the Indus family, and we wish him all the best in his new role.”
On his appointment Prachur Sah said, “I am honoured to be a part of Indus Towers, India's leading provider of passive telecom infrastructure, that deploys, owns and manages telecom towers for all mobile operators. Prior to his appointment as the MD & CEO of Indus Towers, Prachur led the Oil & Gas vertical of Vedanta, Cairn. He is known for building a culture that is value-driven, encourages innovation while maintaining the highest levels of safety, sustainability, and robust governance. He is a dynamic, result-oriented leader, with over 22 years of experience.
In his role at Vedanta, Cairn, he handled a P&L with revenue of more than $7B USD and was instrumental in leading the next phase of organizational growth with a focus on delivering volumes, cost, growth projects, R&R, and monetization (new blocks). He was previously associated with Schlumberger for close to 18 years. Prachur was the Managing Director of Schlumberger – South Asia region. He has formerly held leadership positions in line management, HR, Safety, Marketing in Schlumberger across the Middle East, Latin America, Europe, India, and the U.S which gave him exposure to operations, strategic planning, and oil and gas management.
Prachur is an Electrical Engineer from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and has a MSc in Management from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh.
