Qlik has announced it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Leaders quadrant of the Magic Quadrant for Analytics and Business Intelligence Platforms. This designation marks the ninth consecutive year that Qlik has been positioned in the Leaders quadrant.
“Qlik is continuing to invest in helping customers take on their most complex challenges with data, in order to drive the transformation necessary to compete in the digital world. Our company is growing and our strong financial performance enables us to further invest in more end-to-end data and analytical solutions for our customers,” said Mike Capone, Qlik CEO. “Most recently we completed the acquisition of the CrunchBot AI-powered technology to further advance our cognitive and conversational analytics capabilities.”
Qlik’s unique associative technology changed the face of analytics and BI, and is an essential element in Qlik’s mission to supply enterprise customers with the most robust end-to-end data management and analytics platform and solutions. Through the Associative Engine, Qlik enables customers to analyze information from any data source – in the cloud, on-premise, in a hybrid, multi-cloud environment – without restriction or limitations.
Qlik’s approach is more important than ever, given the key trends that customers are looking to address through analytics: leveraging data in the cloud, managingall data (not just big data), benefiting from a single view into all their data, and leveraging augmented intelligence to the edges of the organization. This year Qlik continued to leverage the open nature of its platform to deliver innovation and enhancements to its multi-cloud offerings, augmented intelligence and machine learning within Qlik Sense through Insight Advisor and the recent acquisition of CrunchBot, and expanded data management capabilities through the Qlik Associative Big Data Index and Qlik Data Catalyst.
Qlik also expanded the ability of customers to benefit from two key resources – previously untapped IoT data at the organizational edge through embedded analytics and Qlik Core, and increased overall use of data for faster and more impactful business decision making through improved data literacy.
- Qlik Corehelps developers build new classes of data-driven applications with the Qlik Associative Engine for the most cutting edge IoT and big data challenges. Through a developer-focused model purpose-built for the cloud, developers leverage Linux and a containerized approach for the engine, along with supporting open APIs and open source libraries for integration into non-dashboard projects. Developers can try Qlik Core for free via Qlik’s developer community, GitHub and Docker.
- As organizations make more data available, it’s vital that users are equipped to read, analyze and utilize data for decisions, communicate with data throughout the organization, and use that data knowledge for better outcomes. Qlik executed multiple programs across data literacy to further the performance of all users, with nearly 20 data literacy courses within Qlik’s Continuous Classroomand the launch of the world’s first global Data Literacy community. Furthermore, Qlik commissioned the first-ever Data Literacy Index - a survey that showed the true business value of data literacy to organizational bottom line performance.
