NEW DELHI: Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution Minister Ram Vilas Paswan has said that if people will keep on doing cashless transaction then it will become regular action of their daily life.
Paswan appealed that lets start doing cashless transaction so that country could lead strongly towards digital payment. He was speaking on the occasion of to see the digitalization drive to promote cashless transaction at canteen of Krishi Bhawan in New Delhi today.
Paswan made cashless payment of Rs 341 via State Bank of India’s e-wallet “Buddy” app to canteen vendor for purchase of tea, snacks and juice.
Canteen of Krishi Bhawan is being used by official staff of various central ministries i.e the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and the Ministry of Rural Developments & Panchayati Raj.
The Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, C.R Chaudhary, the Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs, Vrinda Sarup and the Secretary, Food and Public Distribution, Hem Kumar Pande were also present on the occasion.
