Leaders are evaluating traditional strategies and operating models from a fresh ‘digital’ lens. Jio is the frontrunner in delivering this aspirational Digital Life to billion+ Indians by providing personalised digital services based on connected intelligence. Current generations of engineering students need the right set of skills, to prepare them for the challenges of the future.

Reliance Jio has started Digital Champions – a programme targeted to bridge this industry-academia gap. Digital Champions is a 5-week Action-oriented programme that requires 3rd- and 4th year engineering students to interact closely with multiple small and medium businesses (SMBs) and get insights into their business and industry challenges. The students learn about emerging technologies and how they can positively impact the SMBs. Guidance on the new-age problem-solving methodology is provided through a digital toolkit.

Students can apply this learning to solve real world business challenges. Jio also runs a six-month long Immersive Internship programme where graduates and PGs from engineering and management domains are given a chance to work on live projects powered by cutting-edge technologies and utilise their academic knowledge in practical scenarios. Over the last 3 years, both these programmes have been instrumental in imparting cutting-edge, industry-focused, hands-on learning and non-remunerative work experience to over 2 lakh students across India.
