After the 4G tariff hikes, Reliance Jio has hiked the prices of its "Cricket Plans", the Disney+Hotstar 4G Plans that come with a bundled subscription.
Jio's Price Hikes Continue with Disney+Hotstar 4G Plans
The telco offers 5 Disney+Hotstar 4G plans, with 1 of them being a data-only plan. These plans are as follows:
- Rs. 601 Plan: The plan offers a one-year free Disney+Hotstar subscription. Also, this plan offers other recharge benefits such as 3 GB/day, along with an extra 6GB. Jio also offers a complimentary subscription to its apps. Reliance Jio also offers 28 days of validity, unlimited voice, and 100 SMS/day in this plan. Before the price hike, the plan was worth Rs. 499.
- Rs. 659 Plan: Oddly enough, this plan has been listed under the “Data Vouchers” section on the Jio website. The OTT benefits remain the same – 1 year of Disney+Hotstar. However, this plan reduces the daily limit to only 1.5 GB/day. What’s more, the plan remains valid for 56 days and does not give any voice and data benefits to the user. Before the price hike, the plan was worth Rs. 549.
- Rs. 799 Plan: This plan is similar to the previous one in the OTT benefits, as it also offers 1 year of free Disney+Hotstar subscription. Apart from that, this plan gives the users the usual data benefits; 2 GB/day for 56 days. Further, Reliance Jio offers a complimentary subscription to its Jio apps in the plan, too. This plan comes with unlimited voice and 100 SMS/day. Before the price hike, the plan was worth Rs. 666.
- Rs. 1066 Plan: Again, the OTT benefits remain the same – 1 year of Disney+Hotstar. Also, data benefits remain the same as well, at 2 GB/day. But the plan has a validity of 84 days and also provides an additional 5GB of data with it. Unlimited voice and 100 SMS/day also remain as per the previous plans, so does the complimentary Jio apps subscription. Before the price hike, the plan was worth Rs. 888.
- Rs. 3,199 Plan: This is the most expensive plan that offers OTT benefits from Reliance Jio. The plan comes with the same OTT benefits as all the other plans. However, this particular plan lasts for 365 days and offers 2 GB/day with 10GB extra. Along with that, the plan comes with unlimited voice, 100 SMS/day, and a complimentary Jio apps subscription. Before the price hike, the plan was worth Rs. 2,599.
Reliance Jio has upped the price of these plans for the second time this year. In this regard, Airtel and Vi's similar plans are, for now, cheaper than Jio's; all the other 4G plans they have are more expensive than Jio.
