NEW DELHI: Telecom operator Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) has appointed Pradeep Shrivastava as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).
The company is yet to launch its services in the country. In his new role, he will be responsible for leading the marketing function for RJIL.
Before joining RJIL, he was member of the board of Director at PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL), which is a part of Indonesia-based Axiata Group that holds stake in Idea Cellular, according to his linkedin profile.
He joined Idea Cellular in 2002 and spent around eight and a half years in that company. Prior to joining Idea Cellular, he was VP (International) for The Global Green Company.
He has also worked with Hindustan Lever and Lintas. Shrivastava is a post graduate from St. Stephen's College, Delhi, and an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad.
RIL promoted RJIL holds pan-India broadband wireless access (BWA) spectrum and has invested Rs 70,000 crore for 4G rollout in the country. The venture is expected to be dovetailed with Reliance's ambitious plans to launch a pan-India broadband service network.
