NEW DELHI: Electronics goods maker Samsung has launched a host of products in the smartphones, digital appliances, visual devices categories, targeting the India market as the country contributes a major chunk to its growth numbers.
At Samsung South West Asia Forum 2015, Samsung’s flagship event which showcases its select partners and customers the technology and solutions which will drive its growth in the region, three 4G enabled smartphones – Galaxy Grand Prime 4G, Galaxy Core Prime 4G and Galaxy J1 4G, First Convertible refrigerator, NEO series of Digital Inverter split air conditioner, ActivWash+ machines Hot Blast technology Smart Oven, SUHD TV, were launched.
Besides, for enterprise businesses, Galaxy Tab Active, Samsung Smart Signage TVs, were launched.
India is one of the key markets for the company where it has emerged as the number 1 company across different product categories. The country has also seen launch of its iconic products based on evolving needs and unique customer insights.
“In 2015, we plan to introduce path-breaking technology across different categories of products, which will enhance consumer experience and strengthen our position in the market,” said HyunChil Hong, President and CEO, Samsung India Electronics.
“Samsung will continue to manufacture its products in India reinforcing its commitment to Make for India. In 2015, Samsung will continue to push technology boundaries and help consumers create a better tomorrow,” added Hong.
Samsung has set up two manufacturing plants and three R&D facilities employing close to 45,000 people.
India is a key strategic market for Samsung and the company has recently announced expansion of Samsung India Electronics’ mobile phone plant in Noida, where Samsung Z1 will be manufactured at the Noida facility with most of the phone’s software being developed at the Noida Research Centre.
