BENGALURU: Samsung India has unveiled its latest 4G-enabled Galaxy Tab S2, which it claims to be the world’s slimmest tablet.
The tablet is priced at Rs 39,400 for consumers and is already available for sale across all retail outlets.
During the launch, Samsung’s senior executives explained that the latest Galaxy tablet delivers a super AMOLED display, optimized with all new 4:3 screen ratio for best reading and browsing experience.
The Galaxy Tab S2 is said to be stylishly designed with a metal frame and packs powerful performance features to offer enhanced usability, empowering users with new and improved choices in entertainment, productivity and multitasking.
Manu Sharma, Director Mobile Business, Samsung Electronics, said, “The Galaxy Tab S2 is the world’s slimmest Tablet. The Galaxy Tab S2 combines features that enhance productivity and usability for a complete user experience powered by 4G data connectivity and speed. We believe the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is the most complete personal visual device designed for consumers to carry and use anywhere. Given our commitment to the Indian market, the Galaxy Tab S2 is another contribution of Samsung to the Make in India campaign. This product will be made in India and made for India.”
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 will come in 9.7-inch version with Wi-Fi and LTE, 32GB inbuilt and expandable up to 128GB with external storage.
The Galaxy Tab S2 will be available in three colors, Gold, Black and White. Samsung announced that during the launch period, Tab S2 consumers will get 2GB of 4G data per month free, for two months on Airtel’s Network.
In India, the Galaxy Tab S2 comes pre-loaded with Galaxy gifts worth Rs 31,000+ by offering access to latest applications related to News, Entertainment and Productivity. Under this, there are various apps which are otherwise paid but offered for free with Galaxy Tab S2 for a limited period.
