In addition to Delhi, the Telecom and Broadcasting Sector Tribunal(TDSAT) will also hold hearings in six other locations, according to a government notification. Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Cuttack, Kolkata, Amritsar, and Indore are the new locations for the Telecom Disputes Settlement & Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) meetings, reported PTI.
According to the announcement, the sitting will last "for a period of two years from the date of publication," mentioned PTI

The government made the choice after consulting with the TDSAT chairperson and taking into account the "urgency, nature, and interest of justice in the matters," according to PTI.
In addition, the telecom ministry confirmed the appointment of preceding (Retd) Allahbad High Court Justice Ram Krishna Gautam as a member of TDSAT in a seperate notification released on August 20, PTI added.
The chairman and two other people make up the TDSAT bench. Due to the fact that certain operators lack the resources to travel to from Delhi in order to file appeals and attend proceedings, the information and broadcasting sector has been pressing TDSAT to establish more benches, the report further added.
