Telecom Commission recomdends 3% minimum SUC

NEW DELHI: The Telecom Commission has proposed to collect a minimum 3 per cent of operators’ annual revenues as spectrum usage charge (SUC).

With this, a flat rate of three per cent annual use charge for spectrum to be sold in the upcoming auction, while suggesting the same as the minimum rate for existing airwaves for all telecom operators in India.

The suggestion, which will now go to the Union cabinet for approval.
