With the Indian economy projected to grow in the range of 7%, it is necessary to focus on developing and advancing skills of the citizens, especially digital skills.
Digital skills will support in effective implementation of government programs and increase the adoption rate of government services. This can be done by integrating digital literacy as a part of the curriculum in schools, colleges and universities.
It is important that private players, along with the government, also play a key role in speeding up programs such as Public Internet access, E-governance and EKranti – Electronic Delivery of Services – the key pillars of Digital India initiative.
In the upcoming Telecom Manthan, to be held in New Delhi on 23rd February, the discussions would revolve around creating digital manpower and how the private players can help in the formation of a digital nation.
