Telecom Sector Skill Council signed MoU with Udacity India

Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Udacity India for complementing the skills imparted by the vocational system and providing better livelihood opportunities.

NEW DELHI: Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Udacity India for complementing the skills imparted by the vocational system and providing better livelihood opportunities.

The MoU was signed by Lt. Gen SP Kochhar (TSSC CEO) and Ms Clarissa Shen (VP - International, Udacity). The partnership will open new and higher standards of training opportunities for students to enhance their core skills, get future job ready.

Through this MoU, Udacity India and TSSC aim to drive skill development for youth in India. Students will access to Udacity Nanodegrees which features cutting-edge curriculum built by Silicon Valley leaders and taught by expert instructors. Students enrolling into Nanodegree programs will have access to one-on-one coaching, moderated forums, and project reviews ensure a personalized experience. They will also have extensive career support from Udacity Career Services and TSSC Recruitment Management System (RMS) to help them connect with the jobs of today and tomorrow.

Commenting on the partnership, Lt. Gen SP Kochhar, CEO, Telecom Sector Skill Council said “We are excited to partner with Udacity in our efforts to train and skill India's youth, boost growth and productivity in the telecom sector. Disruptive changes to business models will have a profound impact on the employment landscape in the coming years. We believe through Udacity’s programs will empower students with new- age competencies and cope with jobs of the future.”

Ishan Gupta, Managing Director India, Udacity, stated that “Our partnership with TSSC aims towards preparing Indian youth for the Jobs of tomorrow and be future-ready. We will work closely with TSSC to promote our skill-based Nanodegree certification programs in their partner colleges and empower Indian youth with cutting-edge technologies like Machine learning, Data Science, among others”.
